Eye Brow Transplant
Eyebrow transplantation is a surgical procedure designed to give people with sparse or missing eyebrows a fuller and more aesthetic appearance. The procedure is usually performed using hair transplantation techniques. This is how an eyebrow transplant generally works:
1) Consultation and planning : The first step is a consultation with a plastic surgeon or hair transplant specialist. This involves assessing the person’s eyebrow deficiencies and setting expectations.
2) Selection of the donor area : The hair follicles to be used for the hair transplant are usually harvested from the nape of the neck. The hair in this area is usually thicker and genetically resistant to hair loss.
3) Extraction of the hair roots (FUE method) : The hair follicles are extracted individually using the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method. This procedure is performed under local anaesthesia.
4) Preparation of the extracted hair follicles : The hair follicles are prepared for transplantation into the eyebrow area. At this stage, the hair follicles are grouped and placed at suitable angles.
5) Eyebrow transplantation : The prepared hair follicles are transplanted one by one into the eyebrow area using special fine needles or microcannulas. The transplantation process is usually carried out very carefully to achieve the eyebrow line and a natural look.
6) The healing process : After the eyebrow transplant, there may be slight crusting and redness. The healing process is completed within a few weeks and it may take several months for the hair follicles to settle and grow.
The eyebrow transplant procedure may vary depending on the needs and preferences of the person concerned, which is why it is important to seek advice from a specialist.
